Doro Health Center

Background: The new state of South Sudan is emerging from decades of civil war with virtually no functional health infrastructure in rural areas. Mission agencies seek to partner with the new government to develop the health system.
Project: Doro Health Center sits at the site of an old mission health outpost. Following the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005, SIM began to rehabilitate the old site, beginning with the outpatient clinic and nutritional support for children.
AMHF has awarded SIM-Sudan a 3-year, $1.68 million grant to comprehensively develop the site over a 3-year period.
